On July 26th, 2009, our council took part in “Operation Wheel Chair” in which we helped to escort our disabled veterans at the Togus VA Hospital in Augusta to the Chapel for Sunday services. We had the pleasure of fellow brother knight, Deacon Earl Meyrick, from Santa Fe, New Mexico and a Cub Scout from our sponsored Cub Scout Pack 116 join us. After Mass, all met for a coffee and donuts social before heading home.
Please join us on Sunday, July 25th, for our annual visit to the Togus Veterans Hospital in Augusta for Operation Wheelchair. We will assist our disabled veterans to attend Sunday mass with us at the hospital's chapel. We will meet at Holy Cross church in the morning, and we can car-pool to the hospital as needed.
